Jun8 Babies

To dedicated followers of my blog, let me just start by saying Hello there!  I've been absent from blogging for quite awhile.  I hear you.  I am fully guilty.  I am sorry, and Thank You for sticking around despite my neglect.

Reason for my absence?  One word.  Babies.

Albert and I are quite private people and we did not feel the need to make a public announcement.  In fact, I find it quite amusing watching the expression on the faces of friends and couples when they see me show up with my little beach ball.  "We had no idea!" is typically the reaction followed by 30 seconds where they silently process the news.  And then I would have to explain that it is not their fault they do not know.  We did not make an announcement.

But of course, we realize that it is unfair to all the friends and couples who care about us and who would love to share in our joy.  And so, to save everyone from the awkward 30 seconds of silence, here is the official announcement.  Dearest friends, we are having a baby :)

How has pregnancy been so far?  Super!  It (I am using 'it' because we decided not to find out the gender) has kept up with our crazy schedules and spur of the moment travels.  It has attended five weddings already, bouncing along with me as I crouch, climb, kneel and run.  It legitimizes me hiring a camera bag holder (thank you Jay!!).  I have been offered many chairs, a tonne of food and many compliments on wedding days because of it.  Best of all, on non-shoot days, it allows me to take guilt-free naps and five meals a day, with snacks in between.  It honestly is the best thing that has every happened to me.  I have enjoyed every moment of these 33 weeks thus far.

Babies.  Yes, I did use plural above.  In a less literal sense, the other 'baby' is in reference to Pulp Function, a new company that I recently launched!  You can read all about it here:  http://www.pulpfunction.ca/ourstory  It was supposed to be a side-project in anticipation that I'll be shooting less weddings when the baby arrives.  I did not expect I would become so immensely in love with the entire project and that I would take it full-on as a business.  Passion really has no boundaries.

So those are our two little bundles of joy!  Thank you for all those who share in our joy and have been by our side with your support and love.

p.s.  Baby Wong is expected to arrive mid-July at which time we apologize if we're not able to return emails and respond to inquiries in a timely manner.  The studio will be back in full-force by mid-September.

p.s.s  All Sandy Tam Photography clients can enjoy a 10% discount off all Pulp Function products!  Email info@pulpfunction.ca for coupon code.
