Nov3 Road Trip
Distance has never been a barrier for me and my couples if it means shooting at a location that is meaningful to them. Our 1.5 hour drive to Niagara-on-the-Lake for their engagement session and our 2 hour drive to Blue Mountain for their wedding day was no different.
Kody proposed to Heather at Niagara-on-the-Lake where he rented bikes for the both of them and toured the wineries and the quaint little town. They wanted a trip down memory lane for their engagement photos. On one beautiful summer afternoon, with Kody behind the wheel, we made our trek to do just that. We covered a lot of ground and it was tremendous fun getting to know these two peeps.
Fast forward several months following the arrival of my baby girl, I find ourselves on the road again. This time, we were heading to Blue Mountain for their wedding day. With my baby girl in the backseat and my husband behind the wheel, we were excited to spend a weekend away.
When you have an out of town wedding, it is extra special because everyone in attendance are obviously close enough to the bride and groom to devote that extra time (and distance) to be there. Despite the inclement weather, everyone's presence made it warm and cozy. And with the wedding being on the Saturday, it gave everyone the opportunity to hang out the next day before they headed home. A proposal well planned by Kody and a wedding location well selected by the both of them. What a wonderful start to their married life.
