9 Aug Marriedx4

Why x4?  Buddhist ceremony.  Indian ceremony.  Destination ceremony.  And there is probably one more coming because they didn't officially sign the papers in the last three.

I am eager to blog about this wedding not only because it is a beautiful one, but also because it belongs to a good friend of mine.  I have known Linda for many years, although we haven't spent much time hanging out.  I keep track of her whereabouts through her big brother Keith.  That is how I first heard about her dating Robin.  Then I heard about her engagement.  Then I heard about her planning a wedding in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.  Finally, I get her phone call asking me to be her wedding photographer.  That was when I really started discovering who Linda was and learned that she is an extremely optimistic person, almost always cheerful and likes to giggle to herself about things that come her way whether big or small.  Being around Linda makes me feel younger!  It's a gift, in a way, to be around her.

As for Robin, now that I've gone through three

weddings with him one of which included spending a week at a resort with him, I think I can conclude that he is a really funny and down-to-earth guy.  He has friends who are genuinely nice, extremely goofy at times and rather serious at other times, which speaks to the type of person Robin is as well.  He knows nothing about a Buddhist wedding ceremony, or an Indian wedding ceremony for that matter.  He likes to dress in three-piece suits even though its scorching hot.  He was nervous before the wedding, although he claims he was not.

Linda and Robin, as they so described to me during our very first meeting, is like meatballs and spaghetti.  She is meatballs.  He is spaghetti.  One compliments the other.  Or shall I say Linda has the upper hand since meatballs are on top?  Or are they mixed together when you eat them?  I forget since I don't eat beef.  Anyhow, congratulations again to a very cheerful couple.  I can't wait to go through the rest of their wedding pics.
