19 Aug Where are we?
One photographer whom I admire a lot said to me recently while I was seeking advice on venue options for my own wedding next year - she used to think that a shoot is all about the location. Recently, her point of view has changed. As long as there is good lighting and people you have a great vibe with, beautiful images will follow wherever it may be. I have to agree with her. I can only hope that my couples will select a location that speaks to them. However, if the situation doesn't allow for this, so be it. Just find a good spot with good lighting and shoot away. The connection is already there because otherwise, we wouldn't have made it this far. Leverage off this connection and give it all that I have.
Minus out the beaming sun directly above us. Minus out the heatwave and the ever-so tempting ice cream bar. Minus out the groups of bystanders and other wedding parties. Minus out where we are. I enjoyed my brief yet sweet creative session with Cindy and Edwin underneath a little arch that I found tucked away at the corner of the garden. It was easy because they are both very photogenic people to begin with.
They were very relaxed, despite the heat, and every time Cindy looked at Edwin, it was like she was talking to him although it was completely silent.
Enjoy the captures. Congrats again.
